Dear Madison Families,
I'm Barb Shanahan, and I'm honored to serve as the principal of Madison. Our school is committed to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can reach their full potential. We believe in building strong partnerships with families, and I encourage you to get involved in your child's education. Together, we can create a vibrant school community that empowers our students to become confident, lifelong learners.
My journey in education began over 20 years ago as a kindergarten teacher. Over the years, I've had the privilege of serving in various roles within the educational landscape, including first grade teacher, PK-8 instructional coach and assistant principal. These experiences have equipped me with a deep understanding of the complexities of education and a passion for creating learning environments that inspire and empower students.
I am excited to be part of the Madison community and look forward to collaborating with all of you to create a thriving learning environment for our students. I am passionate about fostering a strong partnership between home and school, and I believe that together, we can achieve great things.
